FELON NEEDS POSITIVE RE ENTRY TO SOCIETY

Our Story

My name is Shawn. I am a 44 year old felon with three pre-teen daughters. I am trying to positively transition into society and into their lives. I would like to build a stable foundation to increase my chance at success. With my felonies came court fines, attorney fees, and other financial obligations that are far too much for me to handle as well as provide a safe and comfortable atmosphere for my family. As long as my legal financial obligations are unpaid, I cannot get my drivers license which I need to find employment. It is extremely difficult to obtain employment with any felonies on your record.

The Impact

I am reaching out in many ways to many people for help with my financial situation. I do have many years of experience in custom interiors and am confident that my plan will be a success with a little financial help. I have given myself a six month goal and if by then I have not yet reached my goal, I am positive that I will at least have moved forward from where I am at this moment. I would like to open my own small business and create a legacy for my girls to inherit when the time comes.

What We Need

My goal is $10,000 and it will be used to bring my legal financial obligations current, pay to get my drivers license reinstated, obtain a business license and some used equipment, and secure a place to live and work. I also need to pay for my marriage to be dissolved so I can close that chapter of my life.

thinking that the truth would set one free and because i am devoted to changing my ways, admitting that I am a felon is certainly a humbling approach to asking for help. In today\'s society I eel as though I am discriminated against because of my past but I am determined to change my life and every dollar donated is very appreciated.
